    AMOS CLARK - has been married twice. His first wife, Frances H., daughter of James and Mary Riggs, was married to him June 2, 1863, and died Nov. 24, 1874. She was the mother of three children: Mamie Laura, born July 23, 1864; James Stephen, Mar. 8, 1869; Ada Frances, Nov. 7, 1871. His second wife, Mrs. Sallie B. Harper, was married to him in Gallipolis, Ohio, Oct. 19, 1881. She was born in Gallia county, Ohio, Oct. 24, 1851, and is the daughter of Jesse and Mary A. (Waddell) Ingels. Her father came to this county in 1826. Her mother was born here in 1830. Mr. Clark is a resident of Clay township, and settled in this county in 1859. He was born in Frankfort, Maine, Dec. 8, 1839, and his parents, Stephen and Prudence M. (Martin) Clark, now deceased, were residents of Waldo county, Maine. He entered the late war July, 1861, and was appointed orderly sergeant of Company I, 36th O. V. I. He was commissioned second lieutenant of Company G, 36th O. V.     Mrs. Sallie Clark—
    Succumbs To Stroke
    Second In Two Weeks Proves Fatal To Prominent Woman
    Mrs. Sally Clark, widow of the late Amos Clark, whose maiden name was Ingels, passed away this Saturday morning at her home on Third avenue. She suffered a stroke about two weeks ago and has been seriously ill since. Early Saturday morning she suffered the second stroke and passed quietly out at 6:15 a.m.
    Her's was a beautiful life and she will be sadly missed by relatives and friends and especially in Grace M. E. church where she was a devoted member. Those of her family who survive her are her stepson, Judge James Clark and one step-daughter, Mrs. Ewing, both of this city. Brothers, J. C. Ingles, of this city, Will and Burt Ingles of this county, Herbert Ingles, Oregon and Frank Ingels of Florida and the following sisters, Mrs. Pearl Gillingham and Miss Lida Leonard of Gallipolis and Mrs. Ella Poole of Delaware.
    Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. J. V. Stope with Geo. Wetherholt and Sons in charge of the burial.

    Mrs. Sallie Ingalls Clark, widow of Amos Clark, former member of the state legislature, was dead here today after a long illness.

    CLARK FUNERAL WEDNESDAY
    Funeral service for Mrs. Sallie Ingels Clark will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock in Grace M. E. church, Rev. J. V. Stone, officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill cemetery in charge of George J. Wetherhold and Sons.
