    ...Mr. LEETH had lived in White Pigeon most of his life, moving later to Pinellas Park.
    ...He was married Feb. 6, 1912, to Josephine THOMPSON, who died in 1955. On Sept. 3, 1956, he married Mabel RANKIN, who died in 1964. His marriage of Mary Ellen ENOS took place on Aug. 1, 1971.
    ...Mr. LEETH was employed for 43 years at the Eddy Paper Corp. in White Pigeon.
    ...He also served as a volunteer fireman in White Pigeon and was a member of the Lions Club and the Maccabees.

    BURR OAK — Arnold Richard Hosted, 81, 64705 Sycamore Drive, died Jan. 17, 1991, at the Veterans Hospital, Battle Creek. He had been ill several years.
    He was born July 26, 1909, in White Pigeon.
    He was a Burr Oak resident the past 10 years. Before that, he had lived in Chicago, Ill., Brownsville, Texas, and Clearwater, Fla. He was employed as an auto mechanic in White Pigeon and he also had worked at Brown Oldsmobile Garage, Battle Creek, Eddy Paper Company, White Pigeon, and Republic Steel Mill, White Pigeon. He was a veteran of World War II serviving in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He received the Purple Heart for wounds received in July 1944. He was a member of the Arthur W. Gouker Post 427 American Legion, Mottville, the Captain John J. Kelley Post 1355 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Loyal Order of the Moose 574 and the Eagles Lodge 1314.
    Surviving are three brothers, Argo Hosted, Bayonet Point, Fla., Wallace C. Hosted, New Port Richy, Fla., and Donald O. Hosted, Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews.
    Graveside services with full military rites are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek. Arrangements were handled by the Bachman-Hebble Funeral Service, Inc., Battle Creek.

    BALDWIN, Mich. — Donald O. Hosted, 76, Rt. 2, ABC St., died Nov. 8, 1991, at the Reed City Long Term Care Facility, following a one-month illness.
    He was born July 24, 1915, in White Pigeon, a son of John F. W. and Hetty L. (Leath) Hosted.
    On Dec. 31, 1939, he married Charlene R.. Kennedy, in South Bend, Ind.
    He lived in Baldwin since 1968, coming from the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area. He had lived most of his earlier years in White Pigeon. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving in World War II. He was a graduate of Sturgis High School, later attending the University of Michigan. He was employed by: the Ford Motor Co.; the Physicists Research Co. as a supervisor; the Micrometrical Co. as a supervisor; and the Bendix Corp., all in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area. He also was the owner and operator of Club 37, Baldwin, from 1968-72. He was a real estate broker since 1955. Upon retirement, he worked for the United States Forestry Service. He was a member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge 13, Ypsilanti, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, 705, Reed City. He was a charter member of the Recreation Eagles Club, Lake, Mich.; a Golden Eagle of the Eagles Lodge 1314, Sturgis, and an honorary member of the P.B. Club, Detroit. He was a life member of the Amvets Club 120, Mesick, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Peacock, and the American Legion, LaGrange, Ind. He was active in school programs and the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed hunting, traveling and golfing with his wife.
    Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Joyce Johnson, Baldwin; one son, Donald D. Hosted, West Branch; six granddaughters; Tonya Nelson, Ypsilanti, Kimberely Hosted and Twyla Hepner, both of Gary, Ind., Cathie Harrington, Sturgis, Amy Hosted, Sterling, and Tracie Johnson, Baldwin two grandsons' Donald Hosted and Jonathan Hosted, both of West Branch; two great=grandson; two brothers, Argo B. Holstead, Bayonet, Fla., and Wallace C. Hosted, Newport Richie, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Charles (Bill) Hosted, who died in July 1981; one sister, Leoma Bedwell; and one brother, Arnold R. Hosted.
    Services are at 3:30 p.m. today a the Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon, with the Rev. Charles Visthum, White Pigeon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in White Pigeon Cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted by the White Pigeon Masonic Lodge 104 F&AM.
    Memorials may be directed to the Baldwin United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

    —Orley was the son of Jesse Leeth and Josephine Thompson. He was brother to Manford, Dorene, Arlo, Emmett and Laurel. He was the father of Roger. He was married 1st. to Treva Hathaway. Then was married to Josephine Branham-Bergner. Orley L. LEETH, 94, of White Pigeon, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis following a short illness.
    —He was born May 7, 1915, in White Pigeon, a child of Jesse and Josephine (THOMPSON) LEETH.
    —He was a resident of White Pigeon all his life.
    —He was first married to Treva L. Hathaway. She died in 1987. He then married Josephine BRANHAM-BERGNER. She died in 2000.
    —Orley worked for the New York Central Railroad for 12 years as a line foreman and electrician. He was employed in the recreational vehicle industry and was a store clerk at Western Auto in Sturgis and Wittenberg Hardware in White Pigeon.
    —He was a member of the Church of God in Elkhart, Ind., and was very involved in his church. He enjoyed woodworking, taking family pictures and home movies. He was also a very hard worker.
    —Surviving are one son, Roger D. LEETH of White Pigeon; a grandson, Derek LEETH of White Pigeon; three step daughters, Jerry Rose JOHNSON of Santa Cruz, Calif., Jaudece Robin CLARK of Salinas, Calif., and Jan Faith OSORIO of Leicester, N.C.; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Manford (Phyllis) LEETH of White Pigeon; and several neices and nephews.
    —He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; a sister, Dorene DUNKER; and brothers Arlo, Emmett and Laurel LEETH.

    Laurel T. Leeth
    COLON — Laurel T. Leeth, 66, 846 Willow Drive, died Nov. 25, 1988, at Sturgis Hospital following several months of illness.
    He was born Sept. 11, 1922, in White Pigeon, a son of Jessie and Josephine (Thompson) Leeth.
    On april 7, 1955, he married Verda Borgert in White Pigeon.
    He was a Colon resident the last nine years of his life. He was a White Pigeon High School graduate, and worked at White Pigeon Paper Co. for 44 years. He was a member os St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Colon. He served during WWII in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of Colon American Legion Post 454.
    Surviving are his wife; a step-daughter Mrs. John (Sue) Baylif of Sherwood; one sister, Mrs. William (Dooren) Dunker of Shipshewanaa, Ind.; two brothers, Orley Leeth of White Pigeon and Manford Leeth of Sturgis; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Emmett and Arlo Leeth.
    Relatives and friend may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Schipper Funeral Home in Colon. Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Colon with the Rev. Terry G. Keefer officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery Colon.
