    Rites Held For
    Mrs. Dortha Leeth
    Mrs. Dortha L. Leeth, 58, of Haviland, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the Paulding Memorial hospital following an extended illness.
    The body was removed to the Didrick Funeral Home in Grover Hill and was transfered to a funeral home in Lancaster.
    She is survived by her husband, Dave Leeth; two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Lee of Van Wert and Ruth Leeth at home; three sons, Benjamin of Lancaster, Emmett of the U. S. Army stationed in New York and Jerry of Mansfield; her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Benjamin Dutter of Lancaster; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Imler of Lancaster and Mrs. Vivian Knapper of Columbus and three granddaughters.

    —The impressive ring ceremony was performed by Rev. M. V. B. Stump in the presence of Mrs. Mildred Nutter and Mr Don Nutter, sister-in-law and brother of the bride.
    —The young couple left by motor for Ft. Wayne, Indiana to spend several days with the grooms parents after which they will reside in Columbus where the groom is employed at the Tire and Rubber Company.

    LANCASTER LADS 5-YEAR OLD COUSINS BOTH DIE TODAY
    Same Affliction Fatal to Boys—Double Funeral Wednesday At Grandparents' Home
    Two five year old boys, first cousins, died today in Lancaster, both victims of membranous croup.
    The first to die was Veryl Edward Leeth, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Leeth, 1195 E. Chestnut St. who passed away at 12:25 a.m. at his home. He had been ill but a few days. Besides the parents there survive a sister Kathleen of the home and the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Nutter of the same address.
    The other lad Clifford Nutter, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Albert Nutter, 1100 E. Main St. who died at 4 a.m. at the home. He also had been ill but a few days. Besides the parents there survive a brother Max of the home and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nutter 1195 E. Chestnut St. where double private services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment is to be made in Forest Rose cemetery by James H. Sheridan.

    1931-1998
    SCOTT — Kathryn L. Lee, 67, died at 6:55 p.m., Monday, June 22, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert, following an extended illness.
    She was born May 14, 1931, in Lancaster, the daughter of the late David and Dorothy (Nutter) Leeth. In 1950, she married Richard F. Lee, who preceded her in death in 1994. She was a retired cook from the former Hometown Nursing Home, Paulding. She attended Scott Pentecostal Church, Scott.
    Surviving are three daughters, Nikki Lee, Vivian Akom and Amy Morrow, all of Scott; three brothers, Jerry Leeth of Clairmont, Fla., Emmett Leeth of Middle Point, and Ben Leeth of Kingman, Ariz.; one sister, Ruth Baker of Scott; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Murray; and a brother.
    Services were held June 25 at 1 p.m. in Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, with Rev. Don Rogers officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

    ...Three persons were injured in several accidents investigated Tuesday and today by the Van Wert Post, Ohio Highway Patrol, and city Police. Property loss was high.
    ...The patrol reported Jerry E. Leeth, 35, of 310 n. Cherry St. was injured in a one-car accident at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 127, three miles north of U.S. 224.
    ...Leeth was taken to Van Wert County hospital by the Fire Department emergency squad where he was treated for a lip laceration and eye bruise. He was released.
    ...Officers stated Leeth was southbound and fell asleep while driving. the vehicle went off the left side of the highway and struck a power pole owned by the Paulding-Putnam REA.
    ...There was extensive damage to the front section, hood and left side of the automobile. The patrol cited Leeth for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Sherriff Don Thomas; Department assisted at the scene.

    —Jerry, son of David Leeth and Dorothy Nutter was born in Lancaster, Ohio on Jun 11 1937, and died at home in Weirsdale, Florida on Sunday Dec 15 2013. Jerry was married to Sandra Pontius on May 18 1963 in Van Wert, Ohio. They had one son.
    —Jerry worked as an Iron Worker for 45 years. He enjoyed tinkering, watching westerns, and being with his family.
    —His surviving relatives are his wife Sandra of over 50 years, his son Neil of Weirsdale, Florida. 2 brothers and 1 sister, Emmett Leeth and wife Becky Closson of Middle Point, Ohio, Ben Leith and his wife Jackie Wright of Kingman, Arizona, Ruth (Baker) of Englewood, Florida. He was preceded by his parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, David and Dorothy, Veryl, Katherine(Lee)
    —Jerry will be cremated in Ocala, Florida. There will be no visitation or services.
