| Notes |
Thomas Heald, father of William and grandfather of Samuel, the immigrant, was also born in Mobberly about 1622. He married Elizabeth Hobson in 1645 and they had at least 7 children born between 1647 and 1666. An effort to trace the Hobson family uncovered a William Hobson in Mobberly, contemporary of Elizabeth (Hobson) Heald, possibly her brother and a John Hobson family in Stockport, who appears to be of a younger generation (Quaker Quarterly Meeting records for Cheshire).
