ISAAC IVINS Jr., born in 1725 or before, son of Isaac Ivins of Mansfield Township, Burlington County, N. J., and wife Sarah Johnson, died testate in Chesterfield Township, said County, between 11 and 28 August 1786, the dates of signing and proving his Will. He married first by Friends ceremony on 23rd of 9th month (Nov.) 1737 MARY HOPKINS, daughter of Edward Hopkins of Burlington. He married secondly by Friends ceremony between 1st and 8th month and 5th and 9th month (Sept.) 1771 ANN (WATSON) CURTIS, widow of Joseph Curtis of Mansfield Township, who had died testate in January-March 1765, and daughter of Marmaduke Watson of Chesterfield Township, who had died testate in 1746-49, and wife Elizabeth (Pancoast) Watson, who were married 27th of 1st month 1718 at Springfield Meeting House, Burlington County, N. J.
Isaac Ivins, son of Isaac Ivins of Mansfield Twp., and Mary Hoktins, daughter of Edward Hopkins deed., both of Burlington Co., were married at the meeting house at the upper end of Springfield Twp. 23 9mo 1737. Witnesses: Isaac, Thomas, Joseph, and Sarah Ivins, George, William, and Joseph Hopkins, and 26 others. Isaac Ivins and Ann Curtis declared their intentions of marriage to Chesterfield Mo. Mtg. of 4-7mo-1771. Joseph Dewes and Thomas Watson were appointed to inquire conceming the man and likewise how her former husband's Will is complied with. Isaac Ivins and Ann Curtis declared their intentions of marriage again (as was required by Friends discipline) to the Mo. Mtg. of 1st 8mo-1771, and were left to their liberty to accomplish their said intentions. The marriage of Isaac Ivins and Ann Curtis was reported to the Mo, Mtg. of 5-9mo-1771 as having been accomplished orderly. —Minutes, supra.
