- [S3] Book: A Brief History of the Beck Family of Northern Ireland, John Beck 1682-1740.
John Beck, was living at Donacloney, Co. Down, 1702, and married Martha Watson on 6 January 1702 (Donacloney Parish Register). Later, in 1718, he occupied a farm at Donegore, Co. Antrim, and acted as executor for neighbour Stirling circa 1735 (Connor Diocesan Court). Three sons survived him , David Beck, whose will was dated 20 December 1764; John Beck, whose will was dated 4 August 1786 ; and Samuel Beck, will dated 30 March 1782-all proved at Connor Diocesan Court. His descendants still occupy the Donegore property.
