William Beck of Bally Gunningham, Donacloney (1743 - 9/16/1827) married Margaret Hanna (1740-5/18/1810) of Shankill Aghaberg and they went to farm at Cascum Loughbrickland. [S3] Book: A Brief History of the Beck Family of Northern Ireland, William Beck 1743-1827. WILLIAM BECK , born at Ballyguniham, Donacloney, 1743, and later settled at Cascum Loughbrickland (Down Freeholders Lists), 1769. The lease of the property was renewed in 1789 for the lives of William Beck, his son John Beck, and the then Prince of Wales (Downshire Estate Records). He was still resident at Cascum in 1821, being then 78 years of age (Census Returns), dying there on the 16th September 1827. He was buried in Loughbrickland Presbyterian Graveyard (monumental inscription). In his will, dated 3 rd November 1825 and proved at Dromore Diocesan Court on 23 rd January 1828, he mentions his sons William, Alexander, Hugh, John and Joseph, his grandson John Haddon Beck, and his son-in-law ): Moses Woods, and appoints his "kinsman and friend" Robert Beck of Clay one of the executors. His wife, nee Margaret Hanna of Shankhill, Aghaderg, died on 18 th May 1810 (monumental inscription). He left issue six sons and one daughter
