2853 The following is taken from the parish records of the Church S, S, Peter and Paul, Nether Heyford, England, concerning the marriage of Thomas ffrench and Jane Atkins.

"Note. March 8 1663 The said Jane ffrench p'senting unto me John Bedford parson of Heiford A Consigned Certificate of the said Thomas ffrench jun & Jane Atkins both of Heiford pish Testifying that they the said Thomas & Jane w' marryed in the pish Church of Whilton June 12 1660 by M' Richard Morris then Minister there: Returning her Certificate of marriage backe againe into her owne custody, I thus entred the Record of ye said marriage at her request, into this my Heiford pish Register."

2854 The marriage record has her name as Mary Jane Crawford, other records have it as Mary Jane Clevenger. The census records for 1860, 1870 and 1880 list a Sarah Clevenger in the household of Isaac Florea as "mother-in-law". It is possible that May Jane's father was a first husband of Sarah and Sarah may have married a Clevenger later. Family (F3)

2856 Transcript of Marriage record:
George Harland in the parish of Donnahlong in ye County, of Down and Elizabeth Duck of Lurgan in ye parish of Shankill and County, of Armagh, having intentions of marriage (according to God's ordinance) did lay their said intentions before ye men and womens meetings who taking it into their considerations, desired they waite a time in which time several Friends were appointed to make enquiry in ye several places where their residences are or of later years have been wheather ye man is free of all other women, and ye woman free from all other men and wheather their relations and parents are satisfied with their said intentions. And they presenting themselves the second time before ye men and womens meetings and an account being brought to ye meeting, where all things being found clear and their intentions of marriage being several times published in ye meeting to which they do belong, and nothing appearing against it.
A meeting of ye people of God was appointed at the house of Marke Wright in ye parish of Shankill on the twenty seventh day of ye ninth month anno 1678, where they being contracted the said George Harland declared publickly and solemnly in the presence of God, and of his people in these vows, I take Elizabeth Duck to be my wife, and said Elizabeth Duck declared in like manner, I give myselfe to George Harland to be his wife and I take him to be my husband, as witness our hands.

2860 "Revolutionary War Patriot buried in Ohio, 'KELLY, NATHAN (Warren County) [39.374669 -84.204253]

Born on September 30, 1760 New Castle Co., Delaware and served as a Pvt., Washington Co, Pennsylvania Militia n the Revolutionary War. First married of Pennsylvania, and afterward came down the Ohio River on a flat-boat with Judge Bennett, Longworth and others to Cincinnati, in 1791; he came from the above place in the night to Deerfield, and purchased land now owned by M. Hayner. In 1796, he located on the land where he lived and died; he served as Justice of the Peace for many years, and was a man of large executive ability; he died, July 6, 1845, aged 85 years; death came sudden and unexpected, as the day before his death he rode five miles to have his will made; his wife died in 1815. To them were born seven children-Cornelius, James, Thomas, Joseph (who was drowned in the Ohio River), Mary, Sidney and Cynthia. He was again married to Mary (Pierce) Van Meter, who bore him one child Priscilla. He was an exemplary member of the M. E. Church, and stood high in the order of Masonry. William Miner, husband of Cynthia Kelley, was born in New Jersey, and was a son of Henry and Mary (Monfort) Miner. In 1810, they settled on land adjoining the Kelleys, where they lived and died. William Miner was married to Cynthia Kelley in about 1819; he served as Clerk of the County Courts, after which he was made Clerk of the United States Court at Columbus, and afterward of the same court at Cincinnati; health failing him, he returned to his farm and was appointed Assessor of the Third District, and served two or three years. To Mr. and Mrs. Miner fourteen children were born, seven living-Nathan, William, Leverett, Martha, Melissa, Victoria and Kate; the deceased are Mary, Louisa, Cynthia, Virginia, George, John and an infant. Mr. Miner died Nov. 4, 1869, aged 71 years and 6 months; he belonged to the Masonic fraternity; was a successful business man, and at his death left a large estate. He Died in 1845 and is buried in Deerfield Cemetery, Morrow, Union Twp, Warren County, Ohio, 45152. No Stone or marker. SAR Ancestor # P-228165.'"
