    FLOYD SPICER DEPARTS LIFE
    —Floyd S. Spicer, the son of Elymas and Frances Spicer was born May 30, 1884 in Providence Township, Lucas County, Ohio, and passed away February 6, 1963 at the Ardis Convalescent Home at the age of 78 years.
    —Mr. Spicer spent his youth in Lucas County and in 1907 moved to Clare where he followed the carpenter trade until his retirement, moving to Farwell in 1959.
    —In November 1919, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Wall at Mt. Pleasant and to this union was born 16 children, three having preceded him in death.
    —Surviving are the widow Myrtle, eight sons, Edward and Lawrence of Glare, William of Flint, John and Raymond of Coleman, Donald and Robert of Farwell, Jerry of Fort Bliss, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gingery, Mrs. Janice Tomaski of Clare, Mrs. Doris Zuker of Beal City, Mrs. Lucille Bole of Farwell and Jean at home. His sisters are Mrs. Rose Athey, Mrs. Adeline Cleveland and Mrs. Nell Heiser all of Clare, also a brother Carl of Clare and twenty-seven grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
    —Funeral services were from the Coker Funeral Home in Farwell, Saturday, February 9, 1963 at 2;00 p.m. with Elders Hobart Beavers and Leo Higgins officiating. Burial was in Cherry Grove Cemetery. (The Clare Sentinel, p. 8 - Clare, MI - 14 February 1963)
