    Announces Engagement
    The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Marie Yearling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Yearling, of Payne, Ohio to Mr. Earl Leeth, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Leeth, Sr., of Pay, Ohio, was announced Easter Sunday at a dinner given for the immediate family at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Yearling.
    The wedding will take place Saturday, June 29, at St. James' Lutheran church, Payne.
    Miss Yearling has asked as her attendants, Miss Edna Lentz as maid of honor, Miss Beth Shrider and Miss Linda Durre as bridesmaids, Miss Margaret Shrider and Miss Carole Durre as junior bridesmaids, and little Misses Jean and Janet Warner as flower girls.
    Mr. Basil Leeth will serve his brother as best man and Messrs. Darrel Dunkle, Gene Leeth and Carl Yearling will seat the guests.
    Miss Yearling is a graduate of Payne high school. She is now employed at The Union State Bank in Payne as bookkeeper and teller.
    Mr. Leeth was discharged from the U. S. Marines in November and is now engaged in farming on his father's farm, northeast of Payne.

    Mrs. Conrad Yearling and grandson Mike Yearling spent the past week with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Earl Leeth, Jr. at their cottage home on Grand Lake Michigan. Mike had been the guest of his cousin Kenny Leeth on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Yearling and daughter Ann were guests at the Leeth home and in returning home were accompanied by his mother and Mike.

    Yearling Reunion
    —The thirty-fourth annual Yearling reunion was held Sunday August 10th at the Church of God Camp Ground with sixty-eight present.
    —After a delicious potluck dinner the business meeting was called to order by the President, E. E. Durre, The new officers elected for 1958 were as follows: Donald Surber, president and Marie Leeth secretary-treasurer.
    —A short program followed and games were enjoyed by the children.
    —Later in the afternoon ice cream was served.

    ELKHART, Ind. Marie A. Leeth, 78, 1617 Brookstone Court, was found dead in her home at 2:16 p.m. Wednesday. She was born March 19, 1926, in Payne, Ohio, to Conrad and Wilhelmina (Zilke) Yearling.
    —On June 29, 1946, she married Earl J. Leeth in Payne. He died Sept. 20, 1988, in Elkhart.
    She was employed as an insurance agent since 1977. She was owner of Leeth Insurance Agency since 1983.
    —She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening.
    —She is survived by a son, Kenneth E. (Barbara) Leeth, Cassopolis, Mich.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Durre, Hicksville, Ohio.
    —She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a sister, two half-sisters and a half-brother.
    Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home & Crematory, Elkhart. —The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Hollingsworth of Grace Lutheran Church officiating.

    —She is survived by one son, Kenneth E. (Barbara) Leeth of Cassopolis; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Durre of Hicksville, Ohio.
    —Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, two half-sisters and one half-brother.
    —Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home & Crematory, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, where services will be at 3 p.m. The Rev. Gene Hollingsworth of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery, Payne.

    —She was born March 16, 1926, in Payne, the daughter of Conrad and Wilhelmina (Zielke) Yearling. On June 29, 1946, she married Earl J. Leeth Jr., who preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1988. She was the owner of Leeth Insurance Agency and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart.
    —She is survived by a son, Kenneth (Barbara) Leeth of Cassopolis, Mich.; a sister, Edith Durre of Hicksville; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews.
    —Also preceding her in death were a brother; a sister; two half-sisters; and a half-brother.
    —Services were held Monday, Nov. 22, at the St. James Lutheran Church in Payne, with Pastor Joseph Allen officiating. Burial was in the Lehman Cemetery in Payne. Den Herder Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
