Honor Bride
Mrs. Alpha Florea (nee Mary K. Wood), near Wilmington, was honored with a parcel shower given by Mrs. Glenn Setty, recently at the home of the former. After the guests had assembled a short program was given. Maynard Briggs sang a solo, "Love's Old Sweet Song." and an aged aunt of the bride, Mrs. M. C. Bailey gave two delightful readings, "What I Live For: and "Pretty Butterfly." The hostess served a dainty salad luncheon, and much to the surprise of everyone, a card was discovered in one of the sandwiches bearing the announcement of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Florea at 10 o'clock that day, in Wilmington.
