    ...Homer D. Leeth, 69, of Rt. 4, Waverly, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at his residence in the Buchanan community. He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Leeth was a retired school bus driver, timber worker, and a former sexton of Mt. Latham Cemetery.

    ...Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Verna (Kordel) Luther Leeth, whom he married on Feb. 3, 1926; three stepsons, Russell Luther of Wapakoneta, Ellis Luther of St. Paris, O., and Ray Luther of Dayton: 17 step grandchildren and 20 step great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mima Brown of Washington C.     Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Boyer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Woodrow Trainer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Latham Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday, to the funeral hour.
    A native of Pike County, he was born on June 26, 1903, the son of J. Allen and Mary Ann Deacon Leeth. He was a member of the Buchanan Interdenominational Church, and a retired school bus driver, timber worker and a former sexton of Mt. Latham Cemetery.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Verna Kordel Luther Leeth, whom he married on Feb. 3, 1926; three stepsons, Russell Luther, Wapakonata, Ellis Luther, St. Paris, and Ray Luther, Dayton; 17 step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mima Brown Washington Court House; anda foster sister, Mrs. Frances Bivens, Delaware.     ...Mr. Leeth is survived by 3 sons: Clarence of Waverly rfd 1; Jesse and Homer of Waverly rfd 2; two daughters, Mrs. Mima Givens of Washington C. C. and Mrs. Carrie Moffitt of Pleasant Plain; 3 brothers: Dola Leeth of Spargursville; Wesley and Frank Leeth of Washinton C. H.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Keaton of Nipgen; 17 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

    Mrs. J. A. Leeth
    ...Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Leeth, 74, wife of J. Allen Leeth of Near Buchanan, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Community church Buchanan with Rev. Ray Miller officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Latham cemetery under the direction of A. H. Boyer.
    ...The deceased died at her home Thursday night following an illness for the past nine months. Her body was brought to the Boyer Funeral home and later removed to the residence where friends viewed the remains until time for the final services.
    ...She is survived by her husband, a former county commissioner; three sons, Homer, Jesse and Clarence, all of near Waverly; two daughters, Mrs. Mimi Givens of near Waverly, and Mrs. Carrie Moffit of Near Spargursville; and a brother, John Deacon of Missouri.

    LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JAMES LEETH
    —In the name of the Benevolent Father of All: I James Leeth of Pike County Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament.
    —Item 1st. I give and device to my beloved wife all my real estate also my goods and chattels that I may be possessed of during her natural life however selling so much thereof as may be sufficient to pay my just debts. At the death of my said wife the real estate aforesaid I give and devise to my sons Perry Leeth, Levi Leeth, John Leeth, James P. Leeth Samuel Leeth and Elias Leeth each an equal share and to their heirs.
    —2d. I give and bequeath to the heirs of my son Jesse dec’d one hundred and fifty dollars. Also to the heirs of James Newland and Louisa Newland’s heirs the sum of fifty dollars. Also to Samantha Monroe one hundred dollars to be paid out of my estate after the death of my wife by my executor. I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Perry Leath Executor of this my last will and testament. I also authorize him to sell so much of my personal property as will pay my just debts. In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of June 1874.
