Wow! I finally managed to update my family file and upload it to the web. Lots of additions from another stop at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and online sources. Empty spaces are starting to fill in nicely.

I try not to put living individuals on the internet, so you may see some disconnected people floating around here and there. In my offline family tree they are connected to a family with additional information. Sources can be provided if available, just send me an email.

Please let me know if you find a broken link, I would like a chance to fix them.

Although I have not updated my webpages for awhile, I have been doing research from time to time. I did get to visit the Family History Library in Salt Lake City just before an accident where I broke my arm at the wrist, but the papers just lay in a pile until recently.

My findings at the library included several wills, or actually Probate Records of the wills. They are interesting, usually hard to read and provide a glimpse of "How It Was" way back then. They did not provide any new names but rather verified the names I have in my database. While at the Library I also verified several birth and death records. Many dates and locations were added, too many to list here. Eventually I will hopefully have all (or as many as possible) verified.

At this time I have added more source references to the Biography pages and will continue to do so as I collect data.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and may all your brick walls come tumbling down in 2007.

*Note: While reading through the will (a magnifying glass sure would be handy about now) I noticed mention of Nancy Gudgel, Sarah Gudgel and a granddaughter Ellen Gudgel. In my records I had Nancy married to Unknown Cudgel and Sarah married to Unknown Swindler. Evidently Isaac Gudgel, as I recently found, was married to both sisters and I have updated my database to reflect this. A search on the internet turned up Silas Swindler married to Sarah, so added his first name. Will need to research the two sisters further, but it sure is fun when a small tidbit turns up. *big grin*
