Preserved served as a private in Capt.. Samuel Haight's Company. Preserved owned land in Addison County in Vermont. He was there for a while with his brother Timothy. He sold his land to William Robinson for 650 pounds in 1793. This was some of the money used to purchase land in Clinton County Ohio.
