- [S454] Information from Dale Landon, Pittinger Family - John Pittinger.
John Pittinger was born in 1670 in Somerset County, New Jersey. He died in Aug 1786 in New Jersey.
- [S611] Book: The Pittenger Families of New Jersey - 1665 to 1800, Pg. 31 - Children of Richard Pittenger and Sycha Hendricksen.
No one has documented from baptismal or other records any children of Richard II and Syche other than the inference that the Daniel, Abraham and Sieke baptized in the Freehold DRC were their children. However, as I accept this, and from evidence in collateral documents I have concluded that their children, all born in Monmouth County, were:
1). Richard III b. c 1702 who married Rachel Reynolds
2). Hendrick Sr. b. c. 1704 who married Maria Louw
3). John "A" b. c 1707 who married Sarah Stevens
4). Daniel b. 1709/10 who married Elizabeth Biggs
5). Abraham, Sr. b 1711/12 who married Elizabeth Gano
6) Sietje b. 1714 who married Isaac Slover
