William was the oldest son of Peter and Elizabeth (Runkle) Sellers and was a grandson of my own 5 Great Grandfather, Adam Sellers. Peter Sellers died in Warren County on 15 August, 1807, of Yellow Fever leaving William, Adam, Elizabeth, and Joseph B. fatherless. William's mother, Elisabeth, remarried to Malachi Swift in 1809.
