Leeth
Clara Mabel Leeth passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Walter Kleiner at, 202 East 5th Street, Clare on Christmas morning, following a long illness.
She was born the daughter of Charles and Emma Garver, January 25, 1893 in Defiance County, Ohio where she attended school. The family came to Michigan in 1900 and settled in arthur township, Clare county.
She was married to Andrew McCellan Leeth in 1910 and they made their home on the Leeth farm in Sheridan township Eagle community, north of Clare. Her husband preceded her in death in 1960.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edna C. Hutchinson, Mrs. Emma E. Carncross, Mrs. Marguerite E. Kleiner, one son, Forest Leeth all of the Clare area, three sisters, Mrs. Florence A. Kever of Clare, Mrs. Beatrice E. Acre of St. Clair, Mrs. Alta Mae Beatti of Marine City, three brothers, Walter E. and Forest L. Garver of Clare and Ray L. Garver of Lyons, Ohio, 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday from the Chapel of the Brokering Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles Hilliard of the Colonville Church of God officiating and burial in Cherry Grove cemetery.
