...In A Double ring ceremony Saturday evening, June 17, Miss Karen Kay Hormell and Thomas Lee Metz were united in marriage in the New Burlington Methodist Church. Rev. Robert Ralph officiated.
...The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hormell, Hormell Rd., New Burlington, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace A. Metz, Compton Rd., Waynesville.
...Mrs. Edward Donahue was organist. The altar was decorated with candelabra, palms and baskets of daisies, carnations and gladioli.
...The bride wore a floor length gown with a scalloped neckline and short sleeves. The princess skirt was enhanced by a front panel of Chantilly lace. Seed pears trimmed the panel and lace bodice.
...A chapel length train fell from a bow on the back of the skirt of silk organza. Her veil of English illusion was held in place by a butterfly crown of seed pearls and lace.
...Her bouquet was pink carnations and white daisies.
...Miss Yvonne Lee Hormell attended her sister as maid of honor and Miss Karen Sue Metz, sister of the bridegroom was bridesmaid.
...They wore floor length sheath gowns of aqua silk chiffon, fashioned with empire waistlines, and scoop necklines. The sleeveless gowns were accented with floral trim at the waistlines and long trains from the shoulder.
...The attendants carried cascade arrangements of pink carnations and white daisies.
...Ray Metz of Zimmerman attended his brother as best man Jerry Metz of Xenia, another brother; Michael Hawker of Beavercreek, cousin of the bridegroom, and Henry Harner of Spring Valley were ushers.
...Miss Monica Harvey, Mrs. Allen Collett and Mrs. Roger Bennett, all of Wilmington, Mrs. Jerry Metz and Mrs. Ray Metz were hostesses for the reception at Moffat;s Party House, Wilmington.
...The bride was graduated from Clinton-Massie High School Clinton County, and is employed by the National Cash Register Co., Dayton.
