Jacob Curtis was born March 25, 1823 in Union Township, Miami County, Ohio. He married Mary Ann Honeyman who was the daughter of John & Mary (Orum) Honeyman. Mary Ann was born April 23, 1829 Miami County, Ohio. The couple married March 12, 1846 in Miami County. They were the parents of Nathan born 1844, John Oliver born 1849, Emanuel born 1851, Mary Elizabeth (Shearer) born 1854, James Alexander born 1857, Eli Webster born 1859, Albert T. born 1863, Charles Alonzo born 1866 & Flora Janelle (Lightner). Jacob Curtis passed away October 9, 1903 and Mary Ann Curtis died November 1916. Both are buried in the Curtis Cemetery.
