OBITUARY
Bear —At his residence, near Conrad's Store, Rockingham county, Va., on Tuesday, the 27th ult.. Col. Jacob Bear, father of Prof. Henry A. Bear, of the D. D. B. Institution of this place, aged 75 years. He had been a consistent and exemplary member ofthe Methodist church for fifty years. His remains were interred at Eik Run Church on last Thursday. (Staunton Spectator, 6 March 1877)
